Former Reform Party candidate Low Chiak Huan who stood in the GE2011 elections dropped a bombshell on social media when he claimed to have heard news that in anticipation of her Presidency, current President Halimah Yacob bought a bungalow at Fifth Avenue a few months before the reserved Presidential election. He asked if President Halimah Yacob would be willing to clarify this story.
With this bombshell claim, Mr Low Chiak Huan alleges wayang by Halimah Yacob who had maintained throughout her campaign that she would like to continue living in her Yishun HDB jumbo flat. Is Mr Low implying that President Halimah Yacob had lied to the people of Singapore when she told mainstream media of her plans to remain in Yishun when she had already made concrete plans to move if what Mr Low said were true.
