Singaporeans Catch a Glimpse of Rare Solar Eclipse Occurring Only Once Every 21 Years

At around 11.30am today, the moon began moving its position and aligning itself between the sun and the earth, resulting in a solar eclipse, a natural phenomenon which happens only once every 21 years.

Members of the public were able to witness the solar eclipse (also dubbed the “Ring of Fire”) at around 1.23pm today, with many astrology enthusiasts organizing viewing meets all around Singapore. Many of those who turned up to watch the spectacular phenomenon, also brought along telescopes to view the rare occurrence in all its glory.

Don’t fret if you did not manage to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse. SingaporeInk has compiled several photos of the solar eclipse taken by enthusiasts this afternoon. Enjoy.
