Last Friday (24th April), a 32-year-old woman encountered a robber while out jogging in the evening along Changi Road. However, to the robber’s surprise, the woman put on such a strong fight that he had to flee empty-handed.
Not wanting the robber to get away, the woman chased the robber while shouting for help. The woman continue giving chase towards the direction of Haig Road, until she lost sight of the robber near the Haig Road Food Centre.
According to witnesses who heard the woman shouting for help, police were at the scene shortly after the incident occurred. A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the robbery.
While it is good to get some exercise during the circuit breaker period, please be aware of your surroundings and avoid going out when its too dark.
