RV Point Condo is under fire for having a poster that tells Grab riders not to use the lift. It stated that the lifts are “only for residents of the building”.
“Please use the stairs”.
The photo has gone viral and attracted the ire of many netizens who berated the condo management for discriminating against delivery riders. Some have gone to RV Point Condo’s Facebook page to complain about the matter.
However, the property management company has since clarified that the poster was not put up by the condo management. It also said that delivery riders will still be able to use the lifts when delivering to residents.
Apparently, the notice was meant for L1 and B1 only.
There is a “Grab Food Distribution Point” located at B1 of the building which appears to be separate from the normal food delivery. Those who wish to access the distribution point at B1 were asked to take the stairs between L1 and B1 to prevent hogging of the lifts. The rest of the upper floors are still accessible via lifts.
The property management company, Ocean IFM Pte Ltd, has reached out to the operator to remove and improve its notice to prevent further misunderstandings.
“We also like to take this opportunity to urge all not to jump to conclusion before verifying the fact, especially during this period of time when all including our team members are also doing our best on the ‘front-line’ to ensure that all buildings managed by our team are safe & operational for all our occupiers & residents.”
