Over 40 Cats Found in Cat Hoarder’s Home, Bigger Cats Found Eating Smaller Cats as Owner Could not Afford to Feed Them

A woman who had 40 cats to take care of at home lost her job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and had no income to continue feeding her cats. In addition, she also has to take care of her husband who is visually impaired.

As a result, many of the cats turned to cannibalism, where bigger cats started eating the smaller cats to ease their hunger.

The couple’s situation was shared by cat welfare group “Callmebymewmew”, who shared details of the incident on their Instagram account last Thursday (22nd Oct).

Volunteers who turned up at the couple’s home, saw many dead cats on the floor, as well as some half eaten newly born kittens. The remaining cats were subsequently taken away to be treated and rehomed.
