Man Trashes Woodlands Provision Shop After He Was Refused Sale of Alcohol, Shop Owner Suffers Over $1000 in Damages

Under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act, the sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited from 10.30pm to 7am.

However, a man decided to challenge this rule by demanding to buy alcohol near midnight at a provision shop. When he was refused sale of the alcohol, he decided to trash the provision shop before leaving.

This incident happened last Monday (2nd Nov) at around 11.45pm at a provision shop located at Block 304 Woodlands Street 31.

A video of the incident captured from the shop’s CCTV was shared online which attracted a flurry of comments by netters.

According to the owner of the provision shop, he sustained around $1000 of damages from the trashing. A police report has been made, and the case is currently under investigation.
