A 60-year-old man is accused of molesting a woman while pretending to sleep onboard a MRT train. The woman was so scared that she dare not even make a sound.
A 22-year-old full-time NS-Man who witnessed this unfolding before him, confronted the 60-year-old man and stopped him from continuing to molest the woman.
This incident happened on Monday (16th Nov) at around 3.15pm inside a MRT train bound for the North-South line.
Speaking to reporters, the 22-year-old NS-Man Lau said he had just booked out from his camp, and was taking the North-South line to meet his friends at Dhoby Ghaut.
It was on this train that Lau noticed that the 60-year-old Uncle was molesting the woman seated beside him while pretending to be sleeping.
Without hesitation Lau stood up, and confronted the Uncle, telling him to stop.
Lau says that he hopes more people will stand up to such bullies and help those in distress.
