Birthday Party with over 30 Guests Hosted at Golden Mile Complex Pub, Guests Ignore All Safe Distancing Regulations and Mingle and Dance

A pub located at Golden Mile Complex had reportedly hosted a birthday party for over 30 people.

Reporters arriving at the pub observed that none of the 30 guests were following safe distancing, and were mingling between tables.

The pub did not appear to be selling any food, and the guest’s tables were filled with bottles of alcohol. There were also lots of dancing and mingling between the guests.

It was gathered that a 50-year-old Thai woman had organised the birthday celebration for her boyfriend at the pub.

According to safe distancing regulations, night entertainment outlets are not permitted to operate, which forced many of these night entertainment outlets to switch to operating as a restaurant.

Speaking to reporters, a eye witness who wishes to remain anonymous said that several pubs started operating at level 2 and 3 of the Golden Mile Complex. These pubs violate regulations and continue to sell only alcohol. He added that many of these pubs would shut their doors after 10.30pm when the alcohol curfew would come into effect, and continue to operate behind closed doors.
