27-year-old Boss of Economic Rice Stall in Sengkang Gives Out Free Meals to Those in Need

Seven years ago, 27-year-old Teo came to Singapore from Pahang, Malaysia to work as a cook in a economic rice stall, drawing a meagre salary of only $1100. It was an especially tough time for Teo, who says he had to scrimp and save in order to survive on that salary.

Teo who is now a boss of a economic rice stall located at Block 267 Compassvale Link, decided to give back to the community and help those in need.

Patrons of his food stall would have seen a notice pasted on the front of his stall containing Chinese words which roughly translates to

“If you have no income or are facing difficulties, you can tell us, and we will give you a free and filling meal, when things get better for you, please try to help others in need”

Teo’s very kind and generous gesture have attracted the attention of many netizens, who praised the man’s kindness and generosity despite running a business in a very tough environment.

For those who are in need of help, please do stop by Teo’s stall located at 267 Compassvale Link for a free meal. For residents staying nearby, do drop by to support Teo’s business.
