A video of a man wearing a black shirt raining blows on another man has been circulating the internet since yesterday.
It was gathered that the person raining the blows was a 40-year-old man, who got into an argument with a younger 24-year-old man, at the Little India stop of the Downtown Line, on Sunday morning (23rd May).
A 14 second video clip of the incident which was uploaded onto Facebook, showed the 40-year-old man repeatedly raining blows at the 24-year-old man who was already on the floor groaning in pain. The 40-year-old man appeared to be trained in mixed martial arts, and was seen using knee blows on the victim’s head, and stomping on his head and body repeatedly. Many netters even commented that the 40-year-old man should have represented Singapore as a MMA fighter.
Perhaps what was most shocking, was that the passengers in the same train carriage did not intervene to stop the assault. Most of the passengers simply watched on, as if they were watching a live action movie. One woman who witnessed the fight, decided to move onto another train carriage, completely ignoring what was happening.
According to the police, the 40-year-old man was later arrested for public nuisance, and is being investigated for intentionally causing hurt.
