AVA Detects Bacteria Found In Faeces & Sewage In Guang Li Liang Bottled Water; Recall Is Ongoing, Imported From Malaysia

Have you heard of the Guang Li Liang brand of bottled water before? If you have not, count your lucky stars because the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) detected faecal bacteria in the Guang Li Liang brand of bottled drinking water.

The bacteria pseudonmonas aeruginosa was found during routine sampling of the product and is commonly found in faeces, soil or sewage. Consuming the contaminated product can cause a range of infections but is not known to cause serious illness in healthy individuals.

As a precaution, the AVA has instructed the importer BSY Power of Light Trading to recall all affected products. Stay away from this brand of questionable drinking water if you can as the recall is still on-going.
