Ho Ching Says More COVID 19 Cases Got No Symptoms And There is One Huge Hidden Cluster in Migrant Worker Dormitories
Today (16th Apr) Ho Ching posted on her Facebook saying that a lot more COVID-19 cases with no symptoms are being discovered.
She explained that data from China and Korea showed that the majority of those who had no symptoms when being tested positive for the virus, continued to have no symptoms throughout their recovery.
According to her, the implications of such are that there may be returnees from abroad, including returning students, workers and families from abroad who have no symptoms but are in fact carrying the COVID-19 virus. These people may actually be quietly spreading the virus among family and friends after finishing their stay home notices or voluntary self-quarantine.
She goes on to say that the circuit breaker is now more important than ever in breaking the line of transmission from people who carry the virus but show no symptoms.
She also says that at the same time, migrant workers in dormitories form one huge hidden cluster as they live as a huge family, sharing kitchens, bathrooms, playing games and watching TV together.
