Elderly Man Loses All His Savings After Leaving ATM Card Inside ATM, Police Unable to Locate Suspect

In 2018, Jeremy Oon’s father had left his ATM card inside a POSB ATM machine, after making a funds transfer at the POSB branch located at Rivervale Plaza in SengKang.

By the time his father had realised it, it was already too late. Someone had withdrew all his money from his father’s account. Jeremy’s father went on to make a police report immediately.

However, police investigations till this day, were unable to identify the culprit and recover the money. Jeremy’s father had even sought help from his MP Mr Gan Thiam Poh to no avail.

While Jeremy’s father knows that it is his own fault for leaving the ATM card inside the machine, he just wants to have closure, even though he knows that the money can never be recovered.
