Young Girl Hit & Run By Reckless E-scooter Rider At Fajar Estate; Received 11 Stitches In Hospital For Her Injuries

A young girl was hit by a reckless e-scooter rider as she was walking under the HDB void deck towards Fajar Shopping Centre. The rider hit her from the back and that caused her to land awkwardly resulting in injuries to her head, arms and legs. Instead of rendering assistance, the rider fled the scene. For her injuries, she received 11 stitches at the hospital and was given 3 days bed rest.

Ms Jenn Low, a family member of the victim urged witnesses to come forward to help the authorities nab the hit and run suspect. This incident is yet another instance of hit and run involving reckless personal mobility device (PMD) users. The victim’s family urged the authorities to view these incidents seriously and for e-scooters to be banned before more vulnerable victims like children and the elderly are hit by these reckless riders.

My sister was knocked down by an irresponsible escooter rider last night when she was walking under the void deck (heading toward fajar shopping centre).

The rider knocked her down from her back and she landed on her right aide. Luckily she landed on the grass patch and this kinda soften the impact. Nonetheless, her right temple, arm and leg were injured and there was a lot of blood lost.

The bloody rider did not stop or provided any assistance. Instead the rider fled the scene towards the direction of Fajar shopping centre.

I am posting this to appeal for witness and as an alert to all. Even if you are careful, this shit happens. When will authority view these cases serious and ban escooter. Who will be next? Kids and elderly might not be able to take these hits well.
