The Online Citizen has received a Writ of Summons and a Statement of Claim from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s lawyers. The Statement of Claim takes issue with a TOC article for containing false allegations against the PM and his office.
TOC’s editor, Terry Xu, has 8 days to decide if he intends to defend the claim.
The alternative news site had refused to comply after being given a chance to retract his allegations regarding PM Lee and 38 Oxley.
That was fast, now let’s see if he will start crowdfunding.
