For most senior citizens, the weekends are best spent on their hobbies, exercising, or catching up with their friends over a cup of kopi, but that is not the case for Dr Tan Cheng Bock, leader of the Progressive Singapore Party (PSP).
At a ripe old age of 79, Dr Tan Cheng Bock spent the weekend doing the PSP’s first islandwide walkabout. The walkabout covered 29 constituencies (16 GRCs and 13 SMCs) and mobilised as many as 29 team ICs, PSP members and volunteers.

Dr Tan received a warm reception by members of the public and also happened to meet Ms Indranee Rajah, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, and Tan Wu Meng, MP for Jurong GRC.

It is truly heartening to see that Dr Tan in his old age, is still putting in so much time and effort to do the groundwork with his fellow party members. Singaporeans should be thankful for having a dedicated opposition leader like him who does not let age get in the way. Let us look forward to what the rest of his members have to offer and see if they will touch lives like Dr Tan!Editor's Note: Do you have a story to share? Please use our Submission Form or email us.
