15-year-old Mr Lin who was eager to go cycling during the circuit breaker period, had ordered a second-hand bicycle costing $180 from a seller online.

He arranged to meet with the seller on 11th April at around 3.30pm, at Block 888 Woodlands Drive 50, and even booked a delivery driver to transport the bicycle back home.

However, on the day itself, the seller did not appear and became uncontactable. The delivery driver 56-year-old Mr Alfred George who saw how disappointed Mr Lin was, decided to offer his own branded Japanese “Shimano” bicycle to him.

Mr George had just spent $50 last month to repair the bicycle, which was now in good working condition, and offered it to Mr Lin for just $25. Mr Lin was very happy with the bicycle and accepted the offer.

Mr George said that he hopes that his little kindness can not only make the teenager happy, but also spread some positive energy around during this difficult time.
