Honest Chinese Foreign Worker Waits an Hour for Maddy Barber to Return After Damaging her Car
Last Sunday (4th Oct), Radio DJ Maddy Barber shared in a Facebook post about a Chinese foreign worker who accidentally broke the side mirror of her BMW.
Maddy was at Tiong Bahru Road for work related matters that afternoon, and had returned to her car at around 3.30pm to find that her side mirror had been damaged.
An apology note was found on the windscreen of her car which contained contact details of the person involved named Wang Yao Wen.
Apparently, Wang had waited for about an hour for her to return. She added that Wang wanted to immediately meet with her to compensate her for the damages he caused after she had contacted him.
Maddy was so touched by Wang’s honesty and sincerity that she decided not to let Wang compensate her for the damages to her car.
She hopes that more people will learn from Wang and be brave enough to take responsibility for their mistakes.
