Elderly Couple Dies from Electrical Leak in Bathroom, Son Gets Electrocuted While Trying to Save Them
An elderly man in his 70s had a fall while showering in the bathroom, his wife who rushed in to help him up accidentally trips over the shower head, causing an electrical leak in the electrical shower heater that killed them both. Their 45-year-old son who came by to visit saw them lying motionless on the bathroom floor, decided to help them up, and ends up getting electrocuted to death.
This incident happened just yesterday (10th Dec) at around 4.45pm at Block 120 Ho Ching road located at the Taman Jurong area.
The whole incident was witnessed by the elderly couple’s 16-year-old grand daughter. The grand daughter immediately called her mother for help, who later called the police for assistance.
The elderly couple’s 45-year-old son was convened unconscious to Ng Teng Fong Hospital for treatment, but could not be resuscitated and passed away.
The police have ruled out the possibility of suicide, and is currently investigating the case.
