Residents Evacuated After Possible Biohazard Contamination Occurred at Woodlands Condominium
A suspected case of biohazard contamination happened at a condominium complex in Woodlands this morning.
It was gathered that a resident discovered an “unknown liquid” outside his home, after having a dispute with his neighbour, and alerted the SCDF and police.
This incident happened this morning (21st June) at around 10.35am at the Rosewood Suites Condominium located at Rosewood Drive, Woodlands.
SCDF and police officers who arrived at the scene immediately evacuated all residents from the condominium complex. Over 100 residents were seen being evacuated out of the condominium, while the SCDF cordoned off the affected area.
Speaking to reporters, a 70-year-old resident said she was told by police officers that an unknown substance had contaminated the condominium premises, and she was asked to evacuate the building immediately. The 70-year-old woman quickly grabbed onto her granddaughter and exited their home immediately.
As of 1pm today, the police and SCDF are still at the scene, investigating, and will provide more updates when possible.
