A male Singaporean influencer named Luke Goh with over 80,000 followers on Instagram decided to send his fans on a treasure hunting trip by hiding $1000 cash near an undisclosed MRT station.

Luke Goh made the post on his TikTok account on Sunday (20th June), and also mentioned that he will be checking back at the location in 3 days time to see if the money had been found.

Many eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that the undisclosed location was likely at Tampines MRT. It wasn’t long before 7 to 8 people were spotted searching the area for the $1000.

Speaking to reporters, 27-year-old Leong who also came looking for the “treasure”, said that nowadays young people have too much time and money, so it could likely be real that the $1000 was indeed hidden there.

However, not everyone was amused by Luke Goh’s antics, as some netters commented that he was making a fool out of people for the sake of increasing his viewership. Others also commented that if Luke Goh had so much extra money, he could donate it to those who need it most.
