“Rich Man’s Daughter” Refuses to Pay Up After Manicure Session, Argues with Shop Owner, and Wants to Sue Staff for Slander
A woman in her 20s wearing branded shoes and carrying branded bag, came into a nail salon to have her nails done up, claiming that money wasn’t an issue for her. However, after the manicure session was completed, the woman was unable to pay up, as she claimed her credit card limit has been exceeded.
This incident happened at a nail salon located at the third floor of Lucky Plaza on Sunday (4th July). According to the salon owner, 37-year-old Guo Ming the woman had made an appointment from the phone for a manicure session at 7pm.
When it came to making the payment of $268 for the services, the woman claims that she only had a credit card, which the salon staff already told her that they do not accept. The nail salon staff then suggested that she could withdraw money using her credit card to pay them. It was then, that the woman revealed that she had maxed out her credit card limit and was unable to do so.
Guo who was at home during this time, immediately came down to the shop to handle this incident, as he was afraid that the woman might walk off without paying.
Despite Guo being patient and suggesting different ways that the woman could pay the bill, including Grabpay, PayNow, PayLah! and Ali Pay, the woman refused to cooperate. The woman claimed she was an Australian Chinese and did not have any of these payment facilities.
This went on till 1am, when Guo decided to let the woman leave. When Guo tried to call the woman the next day, she refused to pick up the phone. The woman then sent Guo a text message, saying that she has contacted her lawyer and will be suing the nail salon staff for saying that her branded bag was a fake.
When contacted today, Guo said that the woman remained uncontactable.
