When shit hits the fan and the MRT suffers breakdowns for three weeks running, he has disappeared into thin air. Who is there is face the media scrutiny? His loyal but inept Director is left to fend off the vicious media baying for sound bites after the serious delays.
Where is the transparency and openness in dealing with this critical public good? Desmond Kuek should tell us what is happening with SMRT, give us a clear plan to fix it or be shipped out.
