Yesterday, a private hire driver picked up three passengers along Prinsep Street, only to end up getting attacked along the way.
All three of them are in their 20s or 30s. One of them started to vomit 10 minutes into the ride. When the driver tried to ask them to pay for the cleaning costs, he was met with vulgarities. None of them wanted to pay extra for dirtying his car.
Things got so bad one of the men even bit the driver on his arm. His in-car camera was also stolen. The driver lodged a police report after he made sure that they had left.
Such violent behaviour must not be tolerated in Singapore. Anyone with information on the incident may want to aid the police in their investigations.
