Management of Upscale Condo Denies Putting Up Notice Asking Residents Not to Eat Durians at Home

Recently, a picture of a notice supposedly taken at a upscale Orchard Road condominium was shared on Facebook. The notice informed its residents to consume their durians outside the condominium, and not to bring it into the estate, as certain people might not like the pungent smell, while others may experience medical issues when smelling the durians.

Many netizens asked if such a notice was appropriate, given the residents had every right to consume the durians in their own homes, while there were others claiming that the notice was fake.

When reporters arrived at the condominium to interview the management staff, the reporters were told that no such notice had ever been put up in the condominium. A member of the condominium’s residents committee believes that the notice was probably a prank.
