Family karaoke chain Teo Heng KTV is likely to close half of its island-wide 14 outlets due to the negative impact of the COVID 19 outbreak. Its flagship outlet located at Katong Shopping Centre which has been in business for over 30 years will be the first to shut its doors.

According to Mr Teo (the founder of Teo Heng KTV), the business has been badly affected since March this year when entertainment outlets such as KTVs were not allowed to operate.

Mr Teo revealed that the outlets at Katong Shopping Centre and Sembawang Shopping Centre will be closed after the lease ends in August this year.

However, Mr Teo is not giving up on his business just yet. He plans to close about half of his 14 outlets to cut loses, and hopes to be able to revive the business after the COVID 19 outbreak ends in 6 months time.
