64-year-old Woman Knocked Down in Ang Mo Kio, Driver Came Out to Take a Look Before Fleeing the Scene
A 64-year-old woman was crossing the road when she got knocked down by a car. As she laid on the road, she saw that the driver of the vehicle had got out to take a look at her, before fleeing the scene.
This accident happened on Christmas (25th Dec) at around 630pm, at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and Ave 8.
The 64-year-old woman’s daughter shared on Facebook yesterday (4th Jan), that her mother had gone for a jog at Bishan Park, and had met with a car accident on her way home. She added that her mother was crossing the traffic junction after the green pedestrian light came on, when she was suddenly knocked down by a car turning into her path.
The 64-year-old woman suffered leg injuries and later went to seek treatment at a clinic.
A police report has since been made by the woman’s family, and investigations are currently ongoing.
