A newly hired male stall assistant at a fish soup stall was so angered by a female stall assistant, who tried teaching him and giving him directions about his new job, that he attacked her with a chopper.
This incident happened yesterday (27th April) at around 4.30pm, at the Fatty Weng Fish Soup stall located at Block 155 Bukit Batok Street 11.
According to witnesses, the male stall assistant lost his cool, when the older and more experienced female stall assistant directed him to do chores. The male stall assistant picked up a chopper from the stall, and slashed the female stall assistant on the neck and shoulders, before fleeing.
In just 4 hours after the case was reported, the police managed to track down and arrest the 33-year-old male stall assistant. The 33-year-old is being charged for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon, and faces up to 7 years jail, canning and/or fine if convicted.
