Man Hides In Woodlands Vista Point Female Toilet To Snap Upskirt Photos; Arrested After Ladies Catch Him Red-Handed
On 21st February 2018, Ms Shina Lin encountered a male pervert hiding in a Woodlands Vista Point female toilet. The pervert who was of Indian descent was caught holding his mobile phone under the cubicle divider by another lady in the adjacent cubicle. The victim ran out of the toilet and banged on the man’s cubicle door but got no response. Ms Shina peeked over the divider and saw the man seated on the toilet seat cover.
Even after the security guard arrived and demanded the man come out of the toilet, he refused and claimed he entered the wrong toilet and needed to defecate. It was only with the threat of making a police report did the man emerge from hiding but instead of feeling remorse or pleading for mercy, he became enraged and verbally attacked the victims accusing them of making false allegations.
Ms Shina Lin wanted to share her experience so that other females will be more conscious of their surroundings and hope they do not take Singapore’s safety and security for granted.

“Earlier this evening (Wed), I was at Woodlands Vista Point with hubby n boy, and I had to go to the toilet. When I walked into the toilet, there was a lady in her fifties standing outside one of the cubicles (C4) looking very worried and scared. I didn’t pay much attention to it n proceeded to enter a cubicle (C2). In the toilet, it was juz the lady & myself, and there was another cubicle (C3) which was closed.
When I came out of my cubicle, the lady signalled to me n kept pointing to C3. I got curious n bent down to take a look from underneath the cubicle door, I tot I saw wat looked like a pair of man’s feet. Then I whispered to her dat I’ll go into C2 n climb up to peep into C3.
To my horror, I saw an Indian man sitting on the toilet seat cover! I asked the lady wat happened n she told me dat while she was in C4, she saw someone holding a hp from underneath the cubicle divider n snapping pictures of her from C3. She quickly rushed out of her cubicle n knocked on the door of C3 but there was no response.
After telling me wat happened, she asked me to stay n keep an eye on the man while she call for the security guard. When she came back into the toilet with the security guard, the security guard knocked on the cubicle door n demanded for the man to come out. But the man replied ‘sorry I enter wrong, I want to shit.’ But the security guard kept banging on the cubicle door n demanded repeatedly for him to come out.
Seeing dat he refused to come out, I threatened to call the police. He then pleaded with me not to call the police but still refused to come out. So I went ahead to call the police. After I ended the call with the police, he finally came out of the cubicle angrily n started scolding us saying dat we made false allegations against him. I asked him how he shit with the toilet seat cover closed n pants still on, but he juz continued to argue n shout at us.
By now, more ppl came to see wat happened n some helped to prevent him from escaping while waiting for the police to arrive. He arrogantly showed us his hp n threatened us dat he would also lode a police report against us for making false allegations. I’m pretty sure he had deleted those photos. A while later, 5 male & 1 female police officers arrived at the scene. The man was brought to one side for questioning while the female officer took the lady’s, the security guard’s n my statements.
Then 1 of the male police officers came up to us n said dat they found some stuff in his hp. The investigation officer (IO) requested from the management office to see the CCTV footage n it was revealed dat he had went into the female toilet at 630pm, and he was only spotted by the lady at 730pm. Goodness! He was in there for an hr, who knows how many victims had fallen in his hands! The whole ordeal took abt 2 hrs n he was finally officially arrested n handcuffed by the police n was escorted by 3 male police officers into the police car.
This long post serves as a reminder to all ladies out there, always be alert n weary of ur surroundings so dat u dun land urself in this predicament. If possible, try to use the handicapped toilet as it’s safer. If u spot anything amiss/suspicious or hear any unusual sound in the toilet, get out of the toilet immediately n seek help.
I believe many of u, juz like me, take Singapore’s safety n security for granted. However, I’ve learnt my lesson today.”
