Boy Riding E-Scooter Loses Control & Faceplants Himself Into Concrete Pillar; Breaks 3 Front Tooth & Suffers Concussion
On Sunday (18 February 2018), Mr Salleh who was enjoying a game of touch rugby at Petal Gardens Bedok was abruptly interrupted by a loud bang after an 11 year old boy lost control of his e-scooter and crashed straight into a pole. Apart from a mild concussion, the boy lost his 3 front tooth and had abrasions on his lips.
Mr Salleh did his part by calling the ambulance as well as the boy’s mother to the scene. He urged all e-scooter riders to be aware of their surroundings and ride safely. He was glad no one else was hurt in the accident, the boy’s injuries could have been much worse as he did not wear any protective gear while riding his e-scooter.

“I wasn’t Cycling at that point of time but I was having our weekly Sunday touch rugby @ petal gardens, Bedok Reservoir Road when I heard a loud crash at the shelter. Attended to a boy lying on the ground. Another e scooter related accident.
An 11 year old boy was riding when he hit a pole and face planted, breaking 3 of his front teeth, abrasions on his lips and face and a mild concussion. Done my part on calling the ambulance and his Mother.
Please ride safely and pay attention to your surroundings. Glad no one else was hurt.”
