Last month, 59-year-old Mdm Wong had her Aloe vera plant stolen from right outside her HDB unit in Yishun. In response she decided to put up a sign board with Chinese words which said “steal again and your hand will rot, you will die a horrible death”.

Reporters visiting her home this morning (14th Aug) at Block 268 Yishun Street 22, could still see the warning sign put up right outside her home.

According to Mdm Wong, she had spent around 3 years planting and looking after the Aloe vera plants, and was absolutely heartbroken after they were stolen.

Apparently, this was not the first time her plants had been stolen. On one occasion, she caught some people taking her pandan leaves. When confronted, these people then asked permission to take her pandan leaves.

Mdm Wong added that taking her plants without her permission was not acceptable, and she would have given it to them had they asked her before taking.
