A 24-year-old man pretended to be a sexy young girl online who was in need of money to pay off “debts” and scammed a 29-year-old man of nearly $9000.

The 24-year-old man (who cannot be named due to a gag order), created a fictitious Twitter account of a young girl advertising sexting services, using sexy photos of his girlfriend as profile pictures.

In April last year, the 24-year-old stalked a 29-year-old male, and offered him sexting services. After the 29-year-old man rejected the sexting offer, the 24-year-old man told him that “she” could provide more personalized services for $200.

The 29-year-old man accepted the offer and paid $200 in exchange for nude photos of a female, which were actually photos of the 24-year-old man’s girlfriend.

In the following month, the 24-year-old man managed to convince the 29-year-old victim that “she” needed money to repay debts for her father and to buy food for her and her family. The 29-year-old man who developed feelings for “her” ending up lending $8960 on 14 occasions within a month.

When the 29-year-old asked for the money to be returned, the 24-year-old man accused him of letting “her” die, and threatened to kill “herself”, saying that “she” will spread this matter on the internet.

This made the 29-year-old man so angry that he made a police report, and was shocked to find out that the “girl” he was so in love with, was actually a 24-year-old man.
