Lawyer vs Lawyer: M Ravi Called Remy Choo A ‘Toad’, Claimed Choo Cheated Him of Life Savings and Stabbing Him In the Back To His Employer
Human rights lawyer and activist, M Ravi, is a man on a mission. Fresh from his court-room exploits, Ravi took to Facebook aiming some very pointed shots at fellow lawyer and activitst, Remy Choo Zheng Xi.
Ravi branded Choo a ‘toad’ who cheated him of his life-savings. He also painted the latter as a two-faced snake who allegedly lobbied M Ravi’s former employer, Violet Netto, to report him to the Law Society in order to get Ravi suspended while he was defending Yong Vui Keong.
Choo, according to Ravi, has never properly apologised for his treachery and for ‘bit[ing] the hand the hand that f[ed] him’.
It appears that this treachery is not new as Remy had purportedly sold out Kirsten Han during a meeting with Home Affairs and Law Minister, K Shanmugam.
Ravi has threatened to explore all possible ways to seek recourse from Choo, whose credibility has been suffered a blow from these accusations
It goes without saying that this latest salvo is a setback to the unity of human rights activism in the country.
