Lorry Hits Trailer Parked by the Road Side at High Speed, Lorry Driver Dies From Injuries

A trailer broke down and had to stop by the side of the road to wait for assistance. A lorry driver who did not notice the trailer, rammed his lorry into it at high speed.
This incident happened just yesterday (19th Aug) at around 3.30pm along Turf Club Ave. Traffic police attending to the scene had to close two of the three lanes to facilitate the rescue efforts of the SCDF.
However, despite the efforts of the paramedics, the lorry driver identified as 70-year-old Li Fu Ji succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
